Corrections, disputes and removals policy

Ontario Water Damage Directory lists water damage restoration businesses across Ontario. Each listing pulls factual business information from public sources and generates a score based on a single, fixed rubric applied equally to every business. We apply this rubric to public Google reviews to calculate review summaries. Listing here is free, and payment cannot change your score or position in our rankings. Correcting factual fields

We update name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, and services when you supply the correct information and something to verify it against, such as your website or current Google Business Profile. Once we apply a correction, it stays in place through future data refreshes, so you won't see it reverted.

Disputing your score or summary

We do not hand-edit scores. A dispute means you believe the input data is wrong: the profile was matched to the wrong business, reviews were attributed incorrectly, or a summary misstates what reviewers actually wrote. We re-check the sources and regenerate your listing. A dispute is not a request for a higher number; it is a claim that something in the data is factually incorrect.

Requesting removal

We remove listings for businesses that are permanently closed, duplicates of another listing, or outside Ontario Water Damage Directory scope. Our monthly verification cycle automatically catches and removes closed businesses. If your listing is accurate and in scope, we will decline removal and explain why plainly.

How long it takes

Every request receives acknowledgment within 5 business days. Removals we confirm are actioned within 7 days. Declined requests include the reason.
