Most reviewers describe exceptional results on cherished books, bibles, and documents, with praise for careful explanations and timely delivery. One significant 2021 complaint documents damage to a rare needlework book during repair, including worsened spine creasing, loose pages, and binding wear, with the reviewer noting the team became defensive when the issues were raised, though a partial refund was eventually offered.

All six reviews are five-star. Customers consistently praise the team for arriving quickly, working professionally, and explaining the restoration process clearly. Water damage jobs (basement floods, burst pipes) get done efficiently, with staff keeping owners updated and handling insurance claims.
Review evidence is limited. The business operates in Ottawa and states 15 years of experience; their website lists water damage restoration, flood extraction, and related services across multiple locations.
First Response handles water damage, mold, and fire cleanup across Ottawa with strong technical expertise. Reviewers consistently praise rapid turnaround, detailed explanations, and staff who show genuine care during stressful situations. A few customers report getting disconnected after initial contact, though the overwhelming majority describe reliable follow-up and polished execution from project start to finish. The team delivers specialized services: mold remediation with lab testing, asbestos assessment, basement odour diagnosis, and post-damage deep cleaning. Many clients highlight that staff go beyond standard cleanup to repair structural damage, answer questions thoroughly, and send photo updates throughout jobs. One standout concern is responsiveness mid-project, where a customer lost weeks waiting to reconnect with their assigned contact.
